What it is
Jev decides the shape; code computes the values.
What it does: Classifies free text into a UI card and fills structured fields without asking an LLM to write JSON.
Why it belongs in the showcase: A clear split between typed decisions and deterministic parsing, with a public demo.
Caveats: Demo card set is finite.
Evidence
Public MIT repo, created 2026-09-22, live at shapeshiftui.vercel.app (HTTP 200). Listed first in hellogumbo/awesome-jev Demos & playgrounds. Intent is classified by Jev (which card, video call, urgency and more); dates, amounts, units and math stay in code. Works offline with a built-in keyword classifier when no key is set. About 1,020 GitHub stars as of 2026-10-23.
Caveats
- Online Jev needs a TypeSafe API key; offline mode uses keywords
- Card types are a fixed set in the demo
- Star count and awesome rank are a snapshot
