Jevaga

A Galaga-style browser shooter where Jev picks the ship's move up to four times a second, and NVIDIA Nemotron writes one new rule after each death.

What it is

A fast model plays, a slow model coaches, and the game checks every rule.

What it does: Jev flies the ship; after each death a new rule is tested by exact replay before it is kept.

Why it belongs in the showcase: A clear split between a fast decider and a slow coach, with deterministic verification.

Caveats: Hackathon project.

Evidence

Public MIT repo, created 2026-10-21, playable at jevaga.vercel.app. The game describes the fight in plain sentences and Jev picks a move. Before a rule is kept, the game replays the death on the same physics steps: the ship must survive, and the last 8 fixed deaths must still survive. Jev is called through Vercel AI Gateway at about $0.00003 an answer; an 8-run session spent $0.036 on Jev.

Caveats

  • Galaga-style homage; its own enemies and code-made sounds
  • Four answers a second needs the paid tier of Vercel AI Gateway
  • The rulebook lives in the page and resets on reload
