Taste Lint

A commit-time design and copy linter: mechanical checks block without a key; optional Jev review via Vercel AI Gateway scores under-review UI/copy risks with probabilities.

What it is

Block AI slop mechanically first; ask Jev only on the fuzzy leftovers.

What it does: Lints motion, copy, typography and code smells, with optional typed Jev review.

Why it belongs in the showcase: Practical slop gate that actually calls hosted Jev.

Caveats: Hybrid mechanical + Jev.

Evidence

Public MIT repo, created 2026-09-19, about 11 stars as of 2026-10-26. npm package taste-lint; site blode.co/taste-lint (HTTP 200). Topics include jev / system-one / typesafe. Dry-run needs no key; Jev notes need AI_GATEWAY_API_KEY. 28 blocking checks plus many report-only; profiles for product/writing/code.

Caveats

  • Jev path is optional and billed through AI Gateway
  • Many report-only checks are still experimental
  • Not a replacement for full design QA

Unofficial case page. Stars / list position observed for heat; do not treat heat as a quality SLA. Review the upstream README before you depend on it.
