Jarvis

A MIT macOS voice/typed command tool that resolves skills with local patterns first, hosted TypeSafe Jev for natural phrasing, and an LLM only to fill details or write drafts—never to invent runnable code.

What it is

Voice commands without letting the LLM invent shell.

What it does: Cascades pattern match → hosted Jev Choice → LLM fill-in for Mac skills.

Why it belongs in the showcase: Clear System One decision layer for desktop automation, separate from chat co-pilots like jev-chat-jarvis.

Caveats: macOS experiment; remote Jev when keys are set.

Evidence

Public MIT repo, created 2026-11-04, 0 stars as of 2026-11-05. README documents console.typesafe.ai keys, pattern→Jev→LLM cascade, measured 69-command split (54% patterns / 46% Jev median 116 ms), and uv install + jarvis doctor.

Caveats

  • macOS-only early experiment; expects rough edges
  • Natural-language commands send unmatched text to TypeSafe when a Jev key is set
  • LLM path still needed for email drafts and some time/recipient details
