Media heat 3 · Mild★ 50heat incomplete (no X)

jevreel

A MIT MCP server/skill that lays video onto labelled contact sheets and asks hosted TypeSafe Jev which windows match a query, then re-checks top hits on full frames—no embeddings stored.

What it is

Screen frames with hosted Jev first; let the coding agent inspect only the survivors.

What it does: Builds contact sheets, batches typed decisions, verifies top windows, returns timed hits.

Why it belongs in the showcase: Clear hosted-Jev video intelligence path without a vector index.

Caveats: Local media pipeline still required.

Evidence

Public MIT repo, created 2026-10-15, 50 stars as of 2026-10-30. README documents TypeSafe Jev judging contact sheets, MCP name io.github.DeepAleph/jevreel, CI, and five recorded Claude Code demos on Tears of Steel with request counts and dollar costs. Distinct from VideoJev local model training repos.

Caveats

  • Needs video decode tooling plus TYPESAFE_API_KEY for live sheet judgments
  • Demo costs are session snapshots, not a latency SLA
  • Agent still does final reading/zoom; Jev only gates windows

Unofficial case page. Stars / list position observed for heat; do not treat heat as a quality SLA. Review the upstream README before you depend on it.
