Jevboard

Windows Zhuyin / Bopomofo IME correction PoC: read the IME's own candidates per character, ask Jev which positions are wrong, suggest fixes in a popup.

What it is

Windows tray tool that re-selects homophone characters before Microsoft Bopomofo commits a sentence: double-tap Caps Lock before Enter, and it reads each position's candidate list, asks Jev in one request which positions are wrong, and shows suggestions you accept with Tab.

What it does: One Choice per character position over the IME's own candidates; high-confidence fixes pre-selected, others optional; UI Automation drives the candidate window.

Why it belongs in the showcase: A batch-classify-with-confidence shape applied to a CJK input-method problem, with a Traditional Chinese README and recorded demo.

Caveats: PoC only; author-reported latency; works only inside the IME's candidate set.

Evidence

Public MIT README (Traditional Chinese primary + README.en.md); per-position Choice over IME candidates in one request; demo GIF / MP4 and docs/evaluation.md linked.

Caveats

  • Proof of concept on top of Microsoft Bopomofo via UI Automation — not a standalone IME
  • Author says ~0.1 s per character re-selection; longer sentences get slower (author-reported)
  • Candidate set is limited to what the IME itself offers; Jev never produces characters outside that list

Unofficial case page. Stars / list position observed for heat; do not treat heat as a quality SLA. Review the upstream README before you depend on it.
