jev-daemon

An Apache-2.0 Rust per-user daemon (jevd) plus jev CLI and tray that holds TypeSafe keys, pairs local programs with explicit jev allow, and shape/rate/secret-checks each request before forwarding to hosted Jev (Claude Code plugin included).

What it is

Keep TypeSafe keys out of every agent process.

What it does: Paired local daemon validates and forwards Jev requests with a shared key store.

Why it belongs in the showcase: Credential/isolation infra for hosted Jev, not another router.

Caveats: Pre-release install path.

Evidence

Public Apache-2.0 repo, created 2026-11-04, 0 stars as of 2026-11-05. README documents cargo install of jev/jevd/jev-tray, pairing allow flow, Claude Code marketplace plugin, and pre-release status (no release archive yet).

Caveats

  • Pre-first-release: build from source; no release archive yet
  • jevd and jev must stay installed side-by-side
  • Tray needs GTK/AppIndicator on Linux
