email-cleaner

A personal self-hosted Outlook/Gmail inbox cleaner that learns readable rules, classifies leftovers with TypeSafe Jev via the official SDK, and keeps client mail protected.

What it is

Rules first for clients and receipts; Jev only on the uncertain rest.

What it does: Indexes mail metadata, applies local policy, and classifies leftovers with hosted Jev.

Why it belongs in the showcase: Real inbox product path with an official TypeSafe SDK client and published pilot numbers.

Caveats: Personal tool; phishing path not trusted yet.

Evidence

Public MIT repo, created 2026-10-23, 0 stars as of 2026-10-27. email_cleaner/jev.py uses typesafe_sdk Choice questions for category and bulk/private; redacts URLs/emails/phones before the call. PROGRESS.md (2026-10-27) reports phases 0–2 and phase-4 code live, with a 2026-10-25 Outlook pilot moving thousands of messages. Local MCP server with 10 tools. Bodies are not stored in the index.

Caveats

  • Author reports Jev phishing labels were mostly wrong in a 500-message trial
  • Outlook Graph pacing still needed after a large pilot OverBudgetException
  • Gmail support is planned, not finished

Unofficial case page. Stars / list position observed for heat; do not treat heat as a quality SLA. Review the upstream README before you depend on it.
